- A new home must have termite protection as part of the building contract
- In WA, your builder may include a chemical termicide (registered poison). Check your building contract and ask your builder
- This treatment is sprayed by hand on the soil under the slab and around the outside walls
- Approximately 5 litres of chemical is applied to every m2
- The treatment will break down & need respraying approx. every 5 years which you will have to pay for
- Any warranty is likely to be for 12 months only & requires annual termite inspections to remain current
